I definitely appreciated your election take on threads. On #7, I am assuming you mean independent media? On #10, even if Harris does long form podcasts, I think she still loses. Do you see the Dems as having a brand and culture messaging problem. Not in spending for content, but distinguishing themselves and casting a compelling vision. "I'm not that guy" verses "End poverty, best in education, end wars, protect workers, fairness, etc."
On #10, agree that Joe Rogan wasn’t a silver bullet but she should have embraced podcasts, newsletters etc. Harris apparently turned down going on Pod Save America. Mad! But podcasts alone would not have saved her. She was mainly done for because of inflation, immigration and her more of the same platform.
I don’t know where to start with what the Dems issues are (there are many) but I think it all comes down to talking about - and having policy solutions for - inequality of all types with a particular focus on class. I think Bernie has made some good post mortem points on that issue.
The Dems need to build a big tent, stop with the purity tests and be more aggressive IMO.
