With Love, Meghan is a dated title. It sounds like a Wal Mart perfume.

I thought it sounded like the cheesier variety of YA novel but it's both!

I think it’s great - anyone showing up on IG however they want to regardless of trends, zeitgeists, and algorithm changes is what I AM HERE FOR. The issue, I think is that society opines on a person’s online activity from the perspective that trends are what’s important. She has a history of blogging on lifestyle and food; it’s what she loved loonnnng before she became the Duchess of Sussex. It’s lovely to see her showing back up with authenticity. Good for her. She doesn’t need to worry about all the other distracting shit. 🙌🏼🙃 I honestly thing anyone who sees her activity and thinks she’s the victim has totally misunderstood and clearly doesn’t understand her as a person, because posting content about lifestyle, joy, food, general musings is what is real for her. The media has warped people’s view of her. Also, she doesn’t give a shite if half the population doesn’t like what she puts out because so many others do. X

I think you're underestimating the size of the older Millenial / Gen X audience that is totally here for the 2015 vibes (heck, 90s vibes while we're at it). (I include myself in this segment). These are the same people who pre-ordered Ina Garten's memoir as soon as they could and whose guilty pleasures include watching shows like Virgin River or rewatching Gilmore Girls. "We" miss the glossy, idealistic, simple aesthetics of those times. I for one can't wait to watch MM's show!

I may well be. Nostalgia is always on trend.

Maybe I am expecting too much of her (or anyone doing this) to have a fresh take on lifestyle

Great insight! Yes, I’m for the curated aesthetic. Must we all drown in athleisure and leggings? I’m here for pretty elevated spaces displayed with care. Flower gardens and pretty colors. Let the girl live!

“Those who tried to sell us anything (in 2024) that didn’t feel 100 per cent authentic were roundly rejected.” Oh if only that had applied to politicians too. I wouldn’t be filled with such dread for 2025. Per MM, I haven’t seen a single truly authentic moment from her yet, so this feels very on brand!

She spoke openly about her struggles with suicide, racism, and having a miscarriage. It’s truly bizarre how so many woman, specially white woman (who think of themselves as ‘feminist’) can write her off as disingenuous because conservative media told them so all because she walked away from powerful institution.

I found Meghan Markel much more compelling as a royal. As a regular rich lady I kind of don’t give crap.

This is so sad I wish someone could just chat to her and tell her to do the inner work and be happy.

I think she has. That’s why she feels comfortable and confident showing up in whatever way feels right to her, knowing that there will be huge numbers of people that will attempt to savage her for it. She’s not wandering in the woods, helpless. This is her being authentic and unafraid. It’s the opposite of lost and helpless. It’s amazing! She’s clearly done a huge amount of work to come back from the beaten and bruised royal who felt the need to hide and comply. She would never have felt she could return to IG years ago. 🙌🏼

wealth flashing backlash so good. Think you are wrong bout MM tho - this is the start of her turnaround. She loves her dogs. This is where it begins

I'm a Meghan supporter, but do agree that her take on social media feels dated. It may have been wise to hand the job to someone of a different generation (and I say that with utmost respect, and as someone who has only just worked out that it's not even called Tik Tac).
