The Random Man in Atlanta is a juicy story that on its own is supremely entertaining in a distinctly Jerry Springer kinda way, but once you get past the wilder details I think (and hope) it signals a shift in the creator class known as momfluencers.

To make this point I must first explain what the heck the Random Man in Atlanta story is for those in the highly flammable community who haven’t been glued to its twists and turns. While the story’s name may centre on a man, the main character in this saga is a woman. Her name is Morgan Bailey.

Morgan has been posting mom content to TikTok for the past six months. Her videos are personality-packed, funny, self-deprecating and focus on the realities of life as a single mom who’s partner left her 30 days after giving birth and - in her telling - hasn’t provided any support.
