Keith Lee’s London food tour… While the news media is focussing on the increasing diplomatic tension between America and Europe over Ukraine, a food reviewer has sparked a full-on transatlantic war between Brits and Americans over the quality of London’s food.

Lee, who’s built a following of 17 million on TikTok from visits to family-owned or struggling restaurants, has got Brits fuming after he:

  • Confused a Yorkshire pudding for bread

  • Gave beans on toast a one out of 10 rating

  • Put tartare sauce on roast lamb

  • Trashed the popular loaded baked potatoes from SpudBros

  • Gave east London delicacy pie and mash a mediocre review

Meanwhile American commentators have been universally horrified by what Lee was served, claiming that it was “medieval”, “peasant food” and some compared British cuisine to “war rations”.
